[FILM] Strange Darling (2024)
A lot of reviewers marketed this as horror, but I'm not sure if that quite fits. It felt more like a Tarantino film with some disturbing scenes but not disturbing enough to cross threshold into full-on horror. As with Longlegs, I think the marketing team did a bit of a disservice to this one by hyping it up as having some sort of insane twist, because ten minutes into the film it became pretty apparent to me what the conclusion was going to be. Also, some weirdly misogynistic undertones in a scene towards the end. Not a fan.
