[GAME] Muse Dash (2018)

Muse Dash is a rhythm game with only two note tracks, with tap and hold being the only two actions. You would think that this would lead to a pretty simplistic experience but happily this ends up not being the case - much like with Taiko no Tatsujin, the difficulty with Muse Dash is less about keeping a mental map of all the note tracks in your head, but more about keeping up with complex beat patterns. The art isn’t really to my taste but there can be moments of magic when you are locked in to a complex track and there are sweets, gift boxes and other moe-related paraphernalia exploding all around you. I wouldn’t say it’s the best rhythm game I’ve ever played but I was pretty impressed by it, and it’s great for breaking out for a quick song or two.
